This is what I wore to work on this rainy weird day. Ta-dah, another sweet, amazing sweater! From work, obviously.

This is what I've been wearing for the past couple of days...

1) yay vests!

2) I'm really into buckling/tying my shoes/sandals over my pant legs...I'm also really into Indiana Jones...mmm

3) This really '80's awesome sweater I thrifted from work...I'm feelin' it.

I am really confused lately about some stuff. I don't really want to go into detail... But I can say that at one point today I was at a total high and now I'm at a low. I wish my mind could just figure things out and be done with it! I'm sorry to those I'm hurting or confusing with my confusion. You know who you are.

choppity chop chop

Ha - look at my new haircut! It is a tad shorter than I wanted it, but I like it. I'm planning on growing it out again for Locks of Love, so this is the last time it will be this short for awhile. I think it's sleek and chic, but I'm still a wee bit self conscious about it.

The first outfit is what I wore to school (pre chopping action) and that cute little dress is what I wore to work (post chopping action).

who put the "glad" in gladiator?

It was sooo nice today! I think that spring may finally be here - hooray! This is my work outfit - I busted out my three year old gladiator sandals. I will cry if they ever wear out. There's something about gladiator sandals that is so classic yet chic - I love the way they form to your foot even when it's bent (like in the pic).

I also picked my lens-less glasses to go with this look.

oversize

I took the hardest exam I will ever take in my life today. It was a philosophy exam about Plato's Meno and Descartes' Meditations on First Philosophy. I am sooooo glad that it's over, I'm just tired and worn out and just plain exhausted from school and work and exams and everything!

Anyhoo, this is what I wore the other day. I like the oversize blazer!

I reeeeeally need to get a haircut - I think I will get one next week...I'm excited. This is just too much to deal with in the summer...I'm going to let it grow out though, this next time. Let's see if I can do it!

I want to ride it where I like...

Yay! Join in the celebration of the new addition to my garage...ta-da! My amazing new bike! My parents promised to buy me a new bike for my high school graduation (which was last June, but hey, better late than never!)...and I'm glad I waited until I found one that I really love.




I loooove this blazer/jacket...whatever it is that I wore today. Of course, I got it from work. I have got a good collection of fun blazers started right as it's going to start getting warmer, but I can't complain...I've been waiting for spring weather for soooooo long!

seriously

This is what I wore to school today. I was sorting clothes at work on Saturday and I pulled this sweater out. At first I was like, seriously, who would wear this ugly thing... and then I was like...it is kinda cute in an ugly sort of way...The kind of thing that's so ugly it's cute? Yeah. So, of course, it came home with me.

I'm also glad that it hasn't been wet lately so I could bust out my mocs...I love them!

I am wearing the double faced watch - I got batteries in it and it works great!

last minute

I had picked out the perfect skirt to wear for brunch with my grandma today, but then when I put it on, it had a stain on the front of it. Perfect. Actually, it might have turned out for the better because I could not find anything to wear on top with it!

So I hurriedly picked out this lovely dress, pulled on some tights that are way too small, picked out accessories and flew out the door. Ah, the best laid plans...

I picked up these beautiful wooden bangles yesterday at Kmart, of all places! They were on sale for less than $3, which made them a must have. They make the most delicious sound clanking together.



I also love this purse. It is simple yet beautiful and it reminds me of fish scales.

The combination of the purse and shoes with the more tribal-ish bangles and scarf turned out unexpectedly...I like it!

I am so glad today is over. It wasn't as stressful a day as they have been (at work) lately. Here is what I wore.

Yes, I gave in to the nerd glasses trend, but decided to create my own by popping the lenses out of a cheap pair of ray bans. I like the result - I think it looks extra groovy with my hair this length...once I get it cut, though if I wear these I'm afraid I'll look like the receptionist from Ghostbusters. What do you think about this trend?


I am also wearing my pants inside out, a beautiful gypsy-ish necklace, and an ultra cool sporty jacket.

surely you jest...

This entire outfit I got from work (hooray for thrifting!). Lovely purple corduroy pants, cute spring-y flats, deep v-neck vest, and lastly - an amazing silk blouse. It almost got baled by another employee but I was like no! I love the print (reminds me of a jester's outfit) and the colors, too!

Anyway...this outfit is what I wore to work. It is getting a little nicer outside...not quite warm, but closer! I can't wait!

This is what I wore to work yesterday...I love the Mickey Mouse vest that I thrifted. I got called into work early and didn't have time to shower, hence the beanie. I actually think that it works with this outfit, though.

I am totally having a thing with cats in fashion lately...cat images, prints, NOT fur... Something about them is so mysterious and sultry yet wild and crazy.

linen

I started reading a really good book today: Nefertiti by Michelle Moran, about the Egyptian queen. That inspired me to throw on my linen jacket and Egyptian inspired necklace...ooo! I looove historical fiction more than probably any other type of fiction, and I especially like the Egyptian era.

This is what I wore to work today...still not up to my usual standards, hopefully that will be soon!

These Converse boots are the biggest splurge, by far, that I've ever had for pretty much anything. They were $70. I don't feel comfortable buying expensive things, especially clothes, because I know that amazing style can be achieved without spending a huge amount on your items.

It's still frigid weather here - snowing off and on, too. I'm trying to get by having already put most of my winter clothes away! Hopefully spring is right around the corner...

I don't really wear glasses...

Okay, I don't need to wear glasses because my eyes are really good, however, I like wearing these frames (without lenses)...I think it completes this outfit nicely!

This pendant is a jade Buddha that I got at an antique store. He is so jolly...kind of like a half-naked bald Santa Claus.

My mom said I had "Einstein hair" today. I guess I kinda like it.

I am absolutely in love with this amazing shirt I thrifted from work. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but there are sequins all over the front in all the colors...it's pretty awesome. And loud. And wild. I love it.

I also got these cute gold heels from work - they are kind of sinking into the carpet of my boyfriend's house, though.
