I've been out of commission for the week because of a sprained wrist...it actually still hurts but I took the wrap off for the pictures.
I have always been a fan of cheap department store canvas sneakers. They remind me of my childhood and the effortless chic look they lend to millions of outfits. I recently bought these navy blue ones for $7 at Kmart, and I love them...I can't stop imagining all the cool ways to wear them!

Happy Earth Day, everyone! I enjoyed the outdoors in this outfit, today. I definitely have to start putting more flowers in my hair!
This is the same skirt from the last post - my boyfriend's mom's old one. I was having a very hard time with my outfit today, and it kept calling to me, so I gave in. I bought this clutch yesterday at Goodwill, and I love the wrist-strap!

Mmm...relaxation is so nice! Last night was the perfect combination of girls, yoga, massages, and friendship. It's so strange how in so little time you can realize so much about yourself...
Anyways, this is what I wore for work today. I am in love with this rust-colored skirt that actually used to be my boyfriend's mom's. It was perfect for chillin' in the grass and other equally earthy elements like moccasins and wooden bangles.
In other (very exciting) news, Brea M. won my Keepsake Barbie Ornament giveaway! I had a drawing and let my bro pick the name out of a pretty red wool hat - congrats!
Please check out Brea's blog and get ready to be swept away by her beauty, flexibility, adventures in yoga, and her green scheme!
I recently bought these tights and H&M and couldn't wait to wear them with these electric blue heels. I am absolutely in love with florals this year and I love finding ways to incorporate them into my mostly solid-colored wardrobe.
Today I'm reviewing a dress from eShakti, and I can not get over how much I love it! The style is wonderful, and I've had so much fun thinking of vintage-inspired outfits that it would be perfect for!
eShakti's tagline - we design, you customize is exactly what their business is all about. They offer sizes from 0 - 26W on every style, and make the product specific to your exact measurements, also allowing for any other alterations or customizations you might desire. You need to measure everything (and I mean everything) but the end result is so perfect that the process is worth it. I suggest getting someone to help you measure in order to get the most accurate results.
Once you have decided on your product (there are so many pretty tops, dresses, skirts, and more!), submitted measurements, and customized it to your liking, you only have to wait three days for your item to ship! Even with all the custom sizing, it ships in only three days, and then spends usually around 3-5 days in transit before ending up on your doorstep.
After days spent trying to decide on which lovely item to get (seriously, I couldn't decide, I bugged my boyfriend so much about what one to choose), I finally decided on this gorgeous summer dress. I love the structure on the top, but my favorite parts are the embroidered hummingbirds on the bottom - they're such a fun and colorful addition to this lovely dress.
It stirs up thoughts of vingate Americana, which I tried to incorpoate into these three outfits.

In addition to some sunny day outfits, I also wanted to try a day-by-the-lake outfit for when the lake winds are blowing.
Here I went with the blatant Americana color scheme and I finally found an outfit for this gorgeous vintage hat I bought at an antique store last year in Michigan.
Lasty, the quality of this dress is fantastic. The material is sturdy, the embroidery is flawless, the zipper works without a hitch, and there is even one side of the sash longer than the other to facilitate tying the perfectly proportioned bow in the back.
I will definitely be giving eShakti my business in the future. In fact, I've already picked out a few other things that I may not be able to live without...

The Art of Jewels specializes in customizable jewelry such as these gorgeous rings. Whatever your birthstone or desired gem, just click and drag to view your choice on the actual ring!
These threerings are my favorite from the site - so classic and simple, the pearl ring, especially. I am usually not a fan of gold jewelry, but on these pieces, it its timeless and beautiful.
The website is extremely easy to navigate with all your options layed out in front of you.
In addition to rings, The Art of Jewels also includes earrings and pendants in their selection of customizable jewelry, but if you're not sure what you're searching for, it's simple to narrow down your search by gemstone or occasion.
This is not what I wore today when it actually was raining, oh no, this was my outfit from yesterday. Of course. I'm usually the one who is overdressed in rainboots, umbrella, and trench when it ends up to be hot and sunny at the middle of the day, but no. Today I was wearing sandals and short sleeves...and it was cold and rainy and miserable (I swear it wasn't like that when I got up...). Humph.
I went out to take pictures today and it started drizzling every so softly...it was magical.
Here are my lovely greys and pastels again (seriously cannot get over this combination!). This dress is beautiful - I loved it from when I first saw it, and my boyfriend who was with me even wanted to buy it for me, but I said no, because it was a little too expensive for my tastes. Then, when I returned to the store later that season it was on sale for $15! I was so surprised, and of course, snapped it up.
This is the same grey cardigan, except I tied it and pinned it to give it a different shape.
This may be the coolest ring ever! I love how big it is! Ooo - and look at the pretty violet!

I love my hair at this length - it makes for the best high ponytails. And I've always loved to wear feathers in my hair...since I was a little girl. It just seems like they were meant to be stuck there.
Don't threaten me with love, baby. Let's just go walking in the rain.
Let's get this straight right now: I am not a matchy-matchy type of person. I don't buy things because they will match other things, and I think my outfits are cooler if there is contrast, you know. But today, everything kind of just came out with clutch - brown, belt - brown, shoes - brown. And I liked it.
I am also really loving grey with pastels. This grey cardigan works amazingly with this pale yellow dress. I love the hat as a pop of color.

I rode my bike to work again today - it was lovely, except very windy (it is not good to ride a bike with a brimmed hat). And then I got rained on on my way home. That's okay...it feels good to get wet.
Enter my giveaway here...the deadline is April 15th!
Well, happy April Fool's, everyone! Sadly, I have no fooling to do, but what can I say. I am going to ride my bike to work today - I'm so excited!

This gorgeous tulip skirt is perfect for spring! I am loving light floaty fabrics (like this scarf) and bright springy colors! Also, I am inspired by jewelry with stones, like this bracelet.
Tonight I have bridesmaid duties...they involve invitations! Plus lovely ladies, laughing, and tea...what an amazing combination!
This is me and my gorgeous (very bendy) friend, B. She is a fellow bridesmaid, and she also teaches us yoga (hence - very bendy!) She has even started a blog, for anyone interested...click here!
