all the land will be mantled with snow

There is something so satisfying about wearing an item you've made with your very own hands. I finished knitting this scarf yesterday. It's the first thing I've ever knit and even with its flaws I am very proud of it.

Well well well, your scarf turned out looking wonderful! I can't knit to save my life, so I'm pretty much in awe of anyone that can do it. :P

I am definitely re-inspired...I did a post about a week and a half ago about crocheting a scarf/ bag (whichever it turned out to be)....I have yet to finish it but seeing your finished product really makes me want to complete mine...yours turned out really nice...and your pictures look wonderful!! great post!!

EEEE! That's the first thing you've ever knit?! Awesome. I had plans of teaching myself how to knit this winter break, but instead I just kept rereading Stitch n Bitch. So, I know it in theory but have yet to put it into actual practice. Lame!

G'job. Perhaps I'll decide to try my hand at the actual act of knitting!

Woah, that scarf looks really good and complicated. I bet it took and long time. You should be so proud. I will learn to knit in the future. It's a small goal.

Knitting is the best thing you can do on long winter days. I'm pretty bad at it. I'm just too sloppy. But who knows maybe I'll continue on knitting that cardi I started...in 2009. Well we'll see ^^ Hopw you got some more discipline :P

Love, kimi

Not sure if you do already but have you thought about posting pictures on chictopia.com or lookbook.nu? I think you would like it.
