This summer I have been spending most of my days on my feet working, so when I had the luxury of a three day weekend, I decided to show my tootsies some major love. Here is a simple foot (or hand) scrub that can be whipped up in a matter of minutes.
Supplies: 1 cup salt, 1/2 cup of your favorite oil or oils (for this recipe I used a mixture of olive oil and almond oil). You will also need a clean container to store your scrub and a utensil for mixing.
So...it's really as easy as mixing these ingredients together. (I used fine sea salt that started out with a slightly pinkish tinge and then when I added the olive oil, it turned this brownish color.) I also added a drop of lemongrass essential oil and five drops of sage essential oil (my favorite mixture of scents lately) to my concoction.
To use, just slather onto feet or hands, massaging into your skin. Pay extra attention to the dry areas such as heels and calluses. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Cover your feet with warm socks and when you remove them you will have the softest feet ever.
